December 19, 2005: Sports Park Special Exception Application submitted to Loudoun County.
January 18, 2006: Received County Comments which listed items that needed to be revised and/or added to our application. April 12, 2006: Our Application was officially accepted for review by Loudoun County. June 8, 2006: Received first set of comments from Loudoun County. July 17, 2006: Public Hearing on Land-Use Termination Request. August 23, 2006: Met multiple county employees at the Sports Park for a site visit. September 11, 2006: Met Dana Malone at the Sports Park to mark trees to save. September 19, 2006: Re-submitted our revised plans to Loudoun County. October 2, 2006: Met with Sally Kurtz, MUSCO representative, and a representative for Mr. & Mrs. Ellmore to discuss the lighting impact. October 18, 2006: We were informed that our application could not be processed any further because our indoor training was not an allowable use in this zoning category. October 25, 2006: Met Sally Kurtz, MUSCO, Mr. and Mrs. Ellmore at Tillet Park to view impact of lighted ball fields at night. November 3, 2006: Met with Sally Kurtz and Nancy Doane and offered to give the land to the county if they would build the park. Also, discussed possible zoning text amendments to allow the indoor training facility. August 16, 2007: Met with Diane Ryburn and Mark Novak and offered to donate the 23.5 acre parcel to the Department of Parks and Rec if they would build a park similar to Freedom Park in Leesburg.
